The project re-densifies the urban fabric of the New Amsterdam Historic District with 112 dwelling units, communal spaces, rooftop gardens, and commercial spaces With a strong relationship to the site’s historic context, the street frontages reference the existing buildings and generate a dense, yet interactive urban space. The medium density housing project creates a neighborhood identity through walkable urban spaces, sustainable social networks and financial viability.
