Building Upward
The elevated building allows for passage through the site, while the glass facade creates a visible connection between residents and the surrounding area. Located at the intersection of Gratiot Avenue and the Dequindre Cut near Eastern Market, Sky Bar acts as an iconic gateway for Detroit. Raising the building above the ground creates optimal circulation through the site, maximizes recreational use of the landscape, and provides future development opportunities.
